down there was still something else wrong with my baby. Whilst we were at Lewisham Hospital Callum had an ultrasound on his head where they discovered that the ventricles in his brain were larger than what they should have been so he was sent for CT scan but discharged from hospital. A week later we were called by our local hospital and the consultants asked us to go in straight away. It was then we were told the unthinkable news that our precious little baby had a brain tumour and that he was to be rushed straight away to the Evalina hospital for an MRI scan and then the following day
transferred to the Lion Ward at Kings College Hospital. Although Callum underwent surgery to remove the tumour the damage already caused by the tumour was too extensive and he was left unable to breathe or move. He was in PICU for 4 weeks but tragically passed away in my arms at the age of only 4 months old. Our lives were shattered by the loss of our baby boy, not only did we have to try and deal with our own grief we both have children from previous marriages and breaking the news to them one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. Callum was only with us for a short while but he touched so many hearts and was loved by so many.

Callum was born on 11th May 2006 by c-section weighing in at a very healthy weight of 10lb 7oz. When Callum was only days old he started to be very sick during and after feeds and lost quite a bit of weight. He also became very floppy and his head always fell to one side. We were first admitted to our local hospital for tests where he was diagnosed with reflux and pylorixstinosis. Callum was transferred to Lewisham Hospital where he underwent surgery at to correct the pylorixstinonsis but unfortunately this didn't solve the problem and Callum was still very sick and I knew deep
